My Latest Corrected Misconception: Strength Training
I spent the first half of my life acquiring misconceptions, and have spent the second half unlearning them. Undoubtedly the unlearning will continue until I die. Most recently I have unlearned that in order to become strong it is necessary to spend all day every day in the gym. In fact, that is pointless. Instead, about an hour a day three days a week is sufficient to become strong, so long as you employ compound exercises, like squats, deadlifts, standing presses, bench presses, and power cleans.
