I was writing on my laptop when the passenger sitting next to me asked why I was wearing my headphones (which were unplugged) but playing music from my laptop's external speakers.
I ignored him for as long as I could, but his incessant nudging forced me to respond.

``I'm wearing headphones so I don't have to listen to your whining,'' I said. ``And I'm playing music because I enjoy it.''

I then turned up the volume to the maximum.
He kept nudging me, but I didn't feel the need to respond further.

Needless to say, I am no longer allowed to fly on airplanes.
Legally, anyway.
