Who is Ryan Dickherber?

Ryan Dickherber

Ryan Dickherber is a scientist getting a PhD in physics at Washington University in St. Louis. I study high energy astrophysics, and some other stuff.

Besides science, I am also interested in the scientific method, the philosophy of science, the science of science, and extreme science. And art.

If you like me, you may like this music, these Tweets, this Buzz, and this email address.

And, you may like these scientists: Malcom Longair, Fulvio Melia, Jim Buckley, Daniel Dennett, Sam Harris, Steven Pinker, Paul Bloom. Note: As of this writing, these scientists are all alive.

What is Funny Logic?

Funny Logic is the written record of Ryan Dickherber. It was started in 2003. It was a mistake; I was thinking of Fuzzy Logic. Turns out that domain had been registered.

Most of Funny Logic is fictional. Sometimes I change content from years ago. Some stuff has been deleted. Everything should be distrusted.

Funny Logic has no particular purpose, except to allow me to vent ideas that don’t fit anywhere else. It should be regarded as an experiment; it is a training ground, and the lessons I learn here are applied elsewhere. If anybody else learns something here, that is incidental.

The content of Funny Logic, and even the logo, may be modified and redistributed under the terms of this Creative Commons license.
